Where to Stay

Our wedding weekend spans the Bay Area, with events split primarily between Mill Valley and Northern San Francisco. We recommend staying in San Francisco, especially if you're looking for a lively city weekend. If you'd prefer a quiet, scenic retreat Mill Valley and the surrounding towns are a great option. Just keep in mind that driving across the Golden Gate Bridge can take a while depending on traffic, so if you're based near Mill Valley plan for some extra travel time on days with SF events.
Staying in San Francisco
We recommend staying in SF if you're seeking a lively weekend. Both hotels and Airbnbs are great options in the city, you'll find a wide range of both across neighborhoods.
Things to consider before booking:
San Francisco is more spread out than it looks on a map, and traffic can be surprisingly slow between neighborhoods, so location matters. We recommend focusing your search on the north side of the City, in neighborhoods like the Marina, North Beach, or Russian Hill (highlighted green on the map) which are all walkable, well-connected, and close to where the weekend's action will be.
Not all SF neighborhoods are equally visitor-friendly. We'd suggest avoiding the Tenderloin, Civic Center/Market Street, SoMa, and some parts of the Mission (highlighted red on the map) when searching. When in doubt, the map here is a good reference, or feel free to reach out to us.

Staying in Mill Valley & Marin
Marin is a great option if you're traveling with family, prefer a quieter pace, or just want to be steps from the venue.
Marin County has many cute towns, but we recommend basing yourself in Mill Valley — it's walkable, charming, and where the ceremony and after-party will take place. Tiburon and Sausalito are also lovely alternatives with waterfront views.
If you're up for the full weekend experience and plan to join us for the SF events, keep drive time in mind — towns on the southern end of the county like Sausalito & Mill Valley put you closest to the bridge and can help cut down on drive time.
